Introducing the newest technology in the world of Robotic Mowing... Husqvarna Automower® 550 EPOS!
This professional mower uses satellite-based technology to work within virtual boundaries. The Exact Positioning Operating System (also known as EPOS) allows for changing areas, which is perfect for football pitches, golf courses and places with changing mowing requirements. It also allows for problem-free aeration and scarification as there are no physical wires in the ground.
It has a range of up to 5000 m² and can handle slopes up to 24.5°. Using the mobile application, you can create a virtual boundary for one or several working areas and stay-out zones, all of which you can activate and deactivate as necessary. A fixed reference station is used to broadcast data to the mower – all you need is a direct sky view for it to work.
Now for the technical bit... Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS: GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo) provide satellite signals to both the mower and the reference station. Real-Time Kinematic Global Navigation Satellite System (RTK-GNSS) is used to achieve centimetre-level accuracy and precision.
This mower has plenty of other commercial features, too, including Husqvarna Fleet Services™, electric height adjustment and lift & tilt sensors.
